Bio-Reveal® Portable Microbial Detection System for Testing and Monitoring Surface Hygiene in Healthcare and Patient Care Settings

ENVIRO CARE Neutral DisinfectantReal-Time System for Infection Control Collects and Measures the Level of Surface Bio-Contamination for MRSA and Other Bio-Contaminants in 15 Seconds

The Bio-Reveal system is used to determine the level of surface contamination for viable biological matter, somatic cells, biofilms and microbial organisms, such as Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA). The Bio-Reveal system provides a fast and effective way to quantify and document the level of biological surface contamination or the effectiveness of biological decontamination of equipment, medical devices, and general surfaces. Ideal areas of use include patient rooms, procedure rooms, operating suites and other high infection risk areas within the healthcare facility. The Bio-Reveal system is perfect for measuring the effectiveness of the healthcare cleaning regime and cleaning staff training, and the hand hygiene of staff, to help prevent the spread of MRSA and related biological infections.

Unique features of Bio-Reveal include:

Bio-remediation for healthcare facilitiesNow You Can Measure Cleanliness

Infectious diseases in a hospital or clinic environment can be attributed to many factors. A significant source for biological pathogens is dirty or unhygienic surfaces. These surfaces become reservoirs for bioburden that harbor the ideal environment for serious infections. Bio-Reveal allows facility infection control and environmental services personnel to perform fast and easy tests to verify surface hygiene measuring the total bio-burden including somatic cells, bacteria and mold.

How Bio-Reveal Works

Bio-Reveal measures the chemical compound adenosine triphosphate (ATP) found in all organic matter including fungi, bacteria, somatic cells, plant cells, etc.

ATP is chemically converted into light through the oxidation-reduction reaction. The quantity of light generated is directly proportional to the amount of biological ATP (contamination) present. The amount of light is measured to estimate the biomass of cells in a sample.

Simple to Use

Collection sampling and accurate measurements occur in four easy steps:SystemSure Plus luminometer

UltraSnap ATP swab

1. Swab a 4” x 4” surface area with the UltraSnap ATP swab (collects samples on surfaces)

2. Snap and squeeze

3. Insert swab into the SystemSure Plus luminometer

Track results with the SureTrend software.

4. Read results. Optionally save to the computer using SureTrend software to track and manage testing results
