The CAP600-UVP model features four stages of air purification and is designed for HVAC systems with up to 4 tons of cooling capacity. The CAP600-UVP model is equipped with a unique dual-frequency lamp that generates both germicidal UV and a controlled amount of trivalent oxygen (ozone) via an oxidation reaction called photolysis for enhanced effectiveness against odors caused by mold and fungal growth, odor problems or heavy smokers. Multiple Air Purification Technologies
CAP600 and CAP1200 Series Central Air Purifiers also feature multiple pre-filtration stages to remove particles, plus a VAPOR-LOCK® activated carbon filter to remove odors and gas phase compounds. Top-of-the-line models are equipped with a high-output germicidal UV (UVGI) or UV “Plus” lamp to irradiate and destroy bacteria and mold spores present in the air stream or trapped on the HEPA filter.

CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series Central Air Purifiers are sold and installed by professional HVAC and IAQ contractors exclusively. These units are not available directly from Abatement Technologies.
Unique "Partial Bypass" Design
CAP600 and CAP1200 Air Cleaners install in the HVAC air return duct near the air handler, in an out of the way location such as the basement, crawl space or attic. A 'partial bypass' installation configuration enables the motor and blower assembly in the CAP unit to pull out up to 50% of the 'dirty' air flowing through the HVAC return during each pass through the HVAC system, and return HEPA-clean, purified air back into to the HVAC system. Typically, the entire air volume in the home can be filtered up to 50 to 60 times in a 24 hour period. Peak air quality levels in the home are typically reached and maintained within the first 24 to 48 hours of use. Innovative Features of CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series Whole-Home HEPA Air Purifiers
True Type A HEPA Filter Captures Microscopic Contaminants
The HEPA filters (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter used in the CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series models are tested and certified to capture at least 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size. No other residential filter captures microscopic contaminants as effectively. Scientific studies have shown that more than 99 out of every 100 particles in indoor air are smaller than one micron in size–far too small to be captured by most upgraded filters let alone low-efficiency throwaway furnace filters.
Carbon Adsorption to Remove Odors and Capture Airborne Gases
VAPOR-LOCK® high-capacity activated carbon filters, standard equipment in all CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series units, capture many airborne gases, common household cooking and pet odors, and low concentrations of VOCs generated by off-gassing from carpets, composite wood furniture and other materials in the home. VAPOR-LOCK filters control gasses and odors via a process known as carbon adsorption, where the molecules of the contaminants chemically bond to the surface of the carbon.
Choose Between High-Performance Germicidal UV (UVGI) Lamp or UV “Plus” Lamp
The ozone-free, hospital grade germicidal-UV irradiation lamp in the CAP600-UV and CAP1200UV models breaks down bacteria and other micro-organisms in the airstream or trapped on the HEPA filter. The ozone-producing UV “Plus” lamp in the CAP600-UVP and CAP1200UVP models creates a controlled amount of ozone gas via a photolysis oxidation process to help break down and neutralize odors in homes plagued by more persistent odor problems.
Internal Motorized Impeller Circulates Air & Maintains HVAC Performance
A powerful, internal motorized impeller enables CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series Central Air Purifiers to supply HEPA-filtered air to the conditioned living space without adding any load to the HVAC motor and blower. This impeller pulls up to 50% of the contaminant-laden air out of the HVAC return and through the air purification stages during each pass through the system, and pushes the purified air back into the return plenum. A typical ‘partial bypass’ installation can replace the entire volume of air in the home with purified air up to 60 times per day.

CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series Whole-Home Air Purifiers have been tested and certified to meet applicable UL standards by an independent testing laboratory.
Limited Warranty
Abatement Technologies, Inc (ATI) warrants that goods sold to the original user shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years, except such as are commercially acceptable. This warranty does not include useful filter life.
