The CAP600-UVP model is equipped with a unique dual-frequency lamp that generates both germicidal UV and a controlled amount of trivalent oxygen (ozone) via an oxidation reaction called photolysis for enhanced effectiveness against odors caused by mold and fungal growth, odor problems or heavy smokers. How They Work
CAP600 and CAP1200 Whole-House HEPA Air Purification Systems are designed for professional installation into the HVAC air return duct near the air handler, in an out of the way location such as a basement, crawl space or attic. A ‘partial bypass’ installation configuration enables the CAP unit to purify up to 50% of the ‘dirty’ air flowing through the HVAC return during each pass through the HVAC system. Typically, the entire air volume in the home can be filtered up to 50 to 60 times in a 24 hour period. Peak air quality levels in the home are typically reached and maintained within the first 24 to 48 hours of use. |

True HEPA Filter Captures Microscopic Contaminants
The HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter used in the CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series models are tested and certified to capture at least 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size. No other filter captures microscopic contaminants as effectively as a true HEPA filter. Scientific studies have shown that more than 99 out of every 100 particles in indoor air are smaller than one micron in size–far too small to be captured by most upgraded filters let alone low-efficiency throwaway furnace filters.
Carbon Adsorption to Remove Odors and Capture Airborne Gases
VAPOR-LOCK® activated carbon filters, standard equipment in all CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series units, capture airborne gases and common household odors from cooking, pets and VOCs off-gassed from carpets, composite wood furniture and other materials in the home. This is done via a process known as carbon adsorption, where the gaseous molecules of the contaminants are attracted to and chemically bond to the surface of the carbon granules.
High-Performance Germicidal UV Lamp to Control Bacteria & Other Microbes
Germicidal UV or UV “Plus” Germicidal lamps in certain CAP600/CAP1200 models provide germicidal disinfection and enhanced odor protection, the same technology used by hospitals, food processing and the pharmaceutical industry.
Self-Powered Internal Impeller Circulates Air
Each CAP600 series and CAP1200 series Central Air Purifier is equipped with a powerful, internal motorized impeller that pulls contaminated air out of the return and through the filters, and then returns HEPA-clean purified air back into the HVAC system without any added load to the HVAC system motor & blower. A typical installation can replace the entire volume of air in the home with purified air up to 60 times per day.

CAP600 Series and CAP1200 Series Whole-Home Air Purifiers have been tested and certified to comply with applicable UL and CSA standards by Environmental Testing Laboratories.
Limited Warranty
Abatement Technologies, Inc (ATI) warrants that goods sold to the original user shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 2 years, except such as are commercially acceptable.
