Filter & Lamp Replacement Schedule
Abatement Technologies® Central Air Purifiers (CAP®)
Air filters and UV germicidal lamps for your high-performance CAP air purification system should be replaced on a regular schedule to keep it operating at maximum efficiency.
- CAP500 Series
- Replace the UV lamp or UV “Plus” lamp yearly
- CAP100 Series
- Replace the inexpensive first stage pre-filter monthly
- Replace the secondary filter every 6 months
- Replace UV or UV “Plus” lamp yearly
- CAP600/CAP1200 Series
- PRE-FILTER
- Replace the inexpensive first stage pre-filter monthly
- INTERMEDIATE FILTERS
- Change the intermediate filters when the amber 'change filter' lamp illuminates as it indicates filters are full.
- CAP600 models: Replace VL-602 VAPOR-LOCK® filter every 6 months
- CAP1200 models: Replace H502 pleated filters every 6 months
- CAP1200 models: Replace VL-1002 VAPOR-LOCK filter once per year
- LAMP
- Replace the UV lamp or UV “Plus” lamp yearly
- HEPA FILTER
- Replace the true HEPA filter every 2 to 3 years
- CAP600EC only: Replace HEPA-media filter every 1-2 years
- PRE-FILTER
Your dealer offers a convenient PAK Kit for each CAP model that includes all filters and lamps needed for one year of operation. Contact your installing dealer to purchase the filters and lamps.
